Trading Results - Monday, 3/24/25
Low volatility, choppy day. I took what the market gave me and managed to squeeze out some profit.

Thoughts on the Day
We opened with a large gap, but the opening range breakout trade never materialized. I had a hunch to be cautious and watch for a pullback off the open, and while it wasn’t a major one, the sideways chop in the first 10 minutes was enough to throw off the OR setup.
Unfortunately, my first planned entry didn’t execute—a pullback to the Weekly Kickoff High at 9:46 AM. I saw the order pop up, but it never filled. It’s part of the game with electronic trading, so I shook it off and refocused quickly.
Price action today lacked the volatility and momentum I prefer—just a series of choppy candles and small scalps. These aren’t my favorite days, but you have to work with what the market gives you. Price slowly climbed throughout the session, but without any strong directional force—more of a methodical drift upward. On days like this, I’ll often size up slightly to capitalize on smaller moves, since the risk of sharp reversals tends to be lower.
What I Did Well Today
Stayed patient and avoided getting chopped up.
Didn’t force trades—waited for clean setups and didn’t chase momentum that wasn’t there.
Traded the market I had, not the one I wanted.
What I Didn’t Do Well Today
I may have locked in gains too early. Looking back at the chart, there were more opportunities later, but I was content with my results.
In a low-volatility, choppy environment, I chose to protect profits rather than risk giving them back—and I’m okay with that.
I hope your trading day today was great. Tomorrow is a new day!
